Carla Nicole De Petris began collecting painting, drawing, design and etching in 1950 in Torino, Italy Complementing her passion for the visual and performing Arts, she began her collection of Old Masters with emphasis on etching, drawings and lithographs from the 15th through the 19th Centuries. In the 1955 married Dr. De Petris (American citizens of Torinese descendant, now deceased) continuing collecting art and antique, in San Francisco. They had a Son Walther J. De Petris, now married to Lynda and has two children, Nicole and Giancarlo. In the 1980's Carla Nicole established an art gallery in Laguna Beach,Southern California, and collected contemporary art from international sources. She has continued her collection and art research interest that have led her to research Old Masters, including the provenance and history of a 1514 Old master painting.
